Jac lived right across the street from me on Forrest Drive and was one of my first friends after moving to the country. We weren’t instant best friends, but my dorky self seemed to grow on her.
We went to elementary school together, and Jac, Christina M. and I spent so much of those elementary and middle school years together—neighborhood days, sleepovers, birthday parties at the ice rink, ice cream cakes, and all the wonderfully ordinary things that make up childhood.
Looking at these photos now, I’m so grateful that some of my earliest memories have Jac in them.
